To ensure that posts in francophone
Africa, the Maghreb and Haiti, have up-to-date collections of materials
in French-language materials, ARS selects, purchases and ships to
Information Resource Centers (IRCs) French-language materials which are
available on the French market and address U.S. government foreign
policy objectives and concerns.
These materials (Books, CD-ROMs,
pamphlets, etc...) constitute the "Books-in-French
Lists" (BIFLists).
